In this 2 day and 4 series workshop you will discover a new approach to asanas through the energetic channels of the body or Chinese meridians. This workshop will anatomically and experientially take you through your own alignment from the feet up. Throughout the practice specific activating (yang) asanas and breath techniques will target organs by strengthening the meridians and a calming (yin) sequence unblocking meridians to bring new energy and life to the associated organs. Full series is highly recommended as each workshop builds on the foundations of the prior workshop, however not mandatory. Time & date: Friday 30th & Saturday 31st December, 9-11am & 3-5pm.
The practice of Hatha Yoga provides many Physical, mental, emotional, energetic and spiritual benefits. Which of those we enjoy will depend greatly upon our intention and the way we practice. There is a Yang way to practice and there is a Yin way to practice that go beyond the actual movements and postures. In this 2 day workshop we will explore 2 different expressions of the practice their benefits, correlation and integration. Trough strong Heart opening and deep and conscious flows, we will explore and cultivate embodiment and awareness.
On this magical evening of mantras and music you are invited to join us in any way you would like to. Feel free to sing along, meditate or even lay down and just listen. Pleuni leads the mantra chanting circle on her Shruti Box accompanied by live music. A mantra is a sound or a vibration that becomes very powerful when you repeat it. Singing the ancient words with subtle intentions help you to reach a deep state of meditation. By simply repeating the mantras, you can disconnect from your thoughts. The mantra becomes more abstract so it can lead you into a place of pure consciousness. Each mantra with its different sound has another effect on the human psyche. The sound vibrations penetrate every cell of the body. Ancient sages knew that sound vibration improves meditation practice and empowers better “listening” in all aspects of life.
While celebrating the return of the light during Christmas, we take some time in this workshop to illuminate ourselves and let our inner light shine. In this two hour practice, we will open the heart center in mindful awareness and allow love, which is our true nature, to flow freely out of us. Experience freedom and Bliss in the body, mind and heart while moving through a series of backbends. Open up, recharge, get inspired and practice Ahimsa, the art of loving kindness.
