Inner Guru Training empowers you to lovingly and skillfully share yogic practices in your own unique way, artfully drawing from your life experience to bring forth your essence as your very own spark of inspiration. This training allows you to experience different teaching styles of Hatha and Vinyasa yoga, build a dynamic foundation to ultimately share a practice in a way that totally resonates true for you.
This intimate immersion offers you the time and space to illuminate your confidence and unearth your compassionate voice. With the help of traditional methods, self inquiry, self practice, partner and group work and playful exploration you will be given the tools to truly connect to your inner wisdom. Organically nurturing a sense of community, through karma yoga, eating, breathing, chanting, assisting, observing and laughing together. We will quietly build trusting and timeless connections forming new friendships that will expand beyond shores. If you are looking for tools to begin teaching, or maybe wanting to deepen your experience of yoga, or perhaps you are already teaching or healing within a community and want to compliment your skill set with more of your own unique inner wisdom: this is a training for you.

10+ hours of practice teaching, assisting, observation and feedback skills.
Understanding ethics for a yoga teachers and businesses.
Unlocking a limitless source of inspiration through self inquiry, journaling, shadow work, self assessment.
Learn about Ayurvedic lifestyle practices to live in accordance to your dosha.
Be inspired daily by Mudras, Deities and other Divine Archetypes.
Fall in love with Yoga Philosophy, Yogic Scriptures, Mantras and Chanting.
Honour the Lineage of Yoga and create your own lineage family tree.
Apply Anatomy & Physiology for Hatha Yoga and integrate Subtle Anatomy (koshas, chakras, nadis).
Self care tools for yoga teachers, how to protect your energy with Reiki, self massage, understanding lunar cycles, sound healing and music as medicine.
Conscious tools to serve those who have experienced trauma and loss.
Create and hold a safe space for individuals and groups to heal and evolve.
Your typical day will look like this (6 days a week):
4.30 - 5.00am – Karma Yoga (rotational preparation of the shala).
5.00 - 6.00am – Meditation and Pranayama Sadhana (practice).
6.00 - 6.30am – Herbal infusions and nourishing herbal tonic.
6.30 - 8.00 am – Asana Practice (led by Tara, Serena and Eva).
8.00 - 9.30am – Plant based, locally sourced prepared breakfast.
9.30 - 12.30pm – Evolutionary Curriculum Session 1 - Presentations, Discussions and Practicals, Group Work and Self enquiry study - Led by Tara, Serena, Eva and Stu.
12.30 - 2.00pm – Lunch (plant based, fresh, locally sourced and home made food).
2.00 - 4.00 pm – Evolutionary Curriculum Session 2 - Presentations, Discussions and Practicals,Group Work and Self enquiry study - Led by Tara, Serena, Eva and Stu.
4.00 pm - onwards – free time, sunset swim, rest, integration space.
6.00 - 7.30pm - Optional Dinner at Cafe Durga / Sri Yoga Shala.
7.30 - 9.30pm – Special event (one evening per week) - Movie Night, Sound healing etc.
Eva was born in Sri Lanka and raised in Germany. Beside Yoga studied political science, sociology and contemporary dance. On her first visit to the county of her origin Sri Lanka, almost two decades ago, through a stay in a buddhist Meditation Center she found her way to the Art and practice of Yoga. In late 2015, together with her partner Mahendra, who runs Wijaya Beach - a popular beach restaurant, she co-founded Sri Yoga Shala. Her classes inspire to re-connect, recalibrate and realign our bodies, minds and hearts and to find a sense of nurturing and home within rather than outside of ourselves. Her focus is on mindful and heart centred, compassionate movement and stillness, always reconnecting to the self and the guidance, observation and exploration of our breaths. Serena is a 500hr British Wheel of Yoga teacher and a registered Senior Teacher with the Yoga Alliance UK, she is also qualified to teach Yoga for Pregnancy, Yoga for Children and is a Certified International AcroYoga.org teacher. She has been practicing yoga for 21 years and teaching for 13, she founded and runs The Om Space yoga studio in Colombo and believes that yoga gives her tools for life. Tara is a RYT 500+ Yoga Alliance accredited teacher who is excited by the essence or sattva of life. Her offering of Sattvic Sadhana is an evolutionary practice of Vinyasa Yoga rooted in the Krishnamacharya lineage led by guiding star Shiva Rea. Tara draws momentum from intuition, Ayurveda and Astrology to bring us back into balance with nature. She is a certified Prenatal Yoga instructor and shares from the place that we are all always evolving. Her classes are uplifting, empowering and spacious as she teachers using with three simple guidelines: movement from breath, compassionate instruction and enchanting music. Learn more: sattvic.co
Stuart is a physiotherapist, ashtanga yoga practitioner and bodyworker specialising in the treatment of yogis with injuries or tension patterns (more often not from yoga). He has practised Ashtanga Yoga for the last fifteen years and teaches Anatomy and Physiology on Yoga Teacher Training Programmes and Workshops worldwide.
